01 · verified destination
Choose classic HotSchedules or Fourth Account
The verified classic HotSchedules destination is app.hotschedules.com/hs/login.jsp. It uses a shared page rather than a public employer subdomain, and the live screen supports both a classic username/password and LOG IN WITH FOURTH ACCOUNT. Each employer can create a separate HotSchedules account, so someone with two jobs may see or hold more than one username. Select the current employer account after authentication instead of assuming an older workplace profile is the right one.
Fourth has also introduced connected identity doors. New users may begin at setup.hotschedules.com with temporary credentials from a Welcome Sheet, or use Create Your Profile from a Welcome Email. A migrated Fourth Account uses an email address as its username and may route through a regional host such as secure.na1.fourth.com. Fourth Engage is another related surface and is the one for which public TOTP MFA instructions are documented.
People also describe this destination as 'hotschedules employee login,' 'fourth hotschedules login,' 'app hotschedules login,' 'hotschedules forgot password,' 'hotschedules app login' or 'fourth account login.' Those phrases are search clues, not extra official domains.

02 · safe sign-in sequence
Sign in through the account your employer created
Use this six-step sequence to keep a classic account, a Fourth Account, and a first-time setup from being mixed together.
- 01
Open https://app.hotschedules.com/hs/login.jsp from a saved bookmark. For first-time setup, use the employer-issued Welcome Email/Sheet and confirm it points to setup.hotschedules.com or a documented Fourth host.
- 02
Confirm the host before entering a username. The classic page is app.hotschedules.com; a Fourth Account may use a Fourth-controlled regional page. Do not trust a displayed link label by itself.
- 03
Choose the right identity door. Enter the employer-specific classic username, or choose LOG IN WITH FOURTH ACCOUNT when the workplace migrated you to an email-based Fourth identity.
- 04
Enter the corresponding password. If you have multiple jobs, keep each employer account distinct and use the account selector to open the workplace you intended.
- 05
If Fourth Engage presents MFA, enter the TOTP from the enrolled authenticator. The public guide says the old login screen cannot configure this factor, so do not force setup there.
- 06
Verify the employer and schedule after access. Bookmark the confirmed route, sign out on a shared device, and ask the current manager when the employer/account choice is unclear.
03 · documented security path
TOTP is documented for Fourth Engage, not classic login
Documented methods in the reviewed scope: TOTP from Microsoft Authenticator or another compatible authenticator app. Availability can still depend on the product, tenant, account type, or organization policy described below.
When an organization enables Fourth Engage MFA, enrollment appears automatically after password sign-in at the normal Fourth web address. The user scans the QR code with Microsoft Authenticator or another compatible TOTP app and enters its code. Fourth explicitly says its old login screen cannot configure MFA. If the enrollment screen does not appear, the manager may need to raise a support ticket.
A signed-in mobile user can reset the factor through Fourth app > Profile > Reset Multi-factor Authentication. Subsequent Fourth browser and app sessions request the TOTP code. These statements must stay scoped to Fourth Engage/Fourth Account: no reviewed Fourth source established that classic HotSchedules has the same MFA settings path.
04 · what to look for
Three controls that separate the login flows
- 01Forgot Username
- 02Forgot Password
- 03LOG IN WITH FOURTH ACCOUNT
Forgot Username starts classic identifier recovery using a linked email address or mobile number. Forgot Password starts a reset after the username is supplied. LOG IN WITH FOURTH ACCOUNT switches from classic credentials to the migrated email-based identity. Match the label to the account your employer created; a familiar button is helpful orientation, but the verified host remains the stronger check.
05 · service-specific lures
Verify finance changes and account-setup messages
A message impersonates Fourth Credit Control or Finance and announces new bank details for payments.
A HotSchedules or Fourth setup message uses an unrelated sender domain or sends a new employee outside the documented setup.hotschedules.com workflow.
Fourth documents four attempted fraud cases involving emails that impersonated Fourth Credit Control or Finance personnel and supplied supposed new bank details. Fourth says a formal change would come only from its CFO. Independently verify any payment-account change through a known Fourth contact before acting; do not trust the reply address or bank details inside the message.
For employee setup, Fourth documents current system-mail domains including @notify.fourth.com and @notify.fourthhospitality.com, while HotSchedules says managers initiate a new user's setup and the Welcome Sheet routes to setup.hotschedules.com. An unrelated sender or off-workflow setup link is therefore a verification red flag. This is a documented workflow boundary, not evidence that Fourth observed a campaign using that exact lure; confirm an unexpected invitation with the manager.
06 · locked-account plan
Recover the right employer account
On classic HotSchedules, choose Forgot Username and use the confirmed email/mobile, or choose Forgot Password, supply the username, and select email or text delivery. A Fourth Account uses the Username or Password recovery link on the regional Fourth page and the confirmed contact information on that identity.
Contact the current manager if the invitation never arrived, the account has no confirmed contact method, both identifier and password are unknown, the wrong workplace is selected, or MFA must be reset while signed out. The employer controls account creation, activation, and contact details; Fourth operates the platform but the manager is the practical identity controller for an employee.
07 · passkey status
Passkeys are not confirmed
This guide does not claim current passkey support for HotSchedules. A security key, device approval, or biometric prompt is not automatically a passkey, and an old product announcement is not enough to establish current availability.
No Fourth- or HotSchedules-controlled public page reviewed on September 6, 2026 confirmed a FIDO/WebAuthn passkey option or settings path. The Engage MFA article discusses biometric factors in general but documents TOTP for this implementation. That is not enough to claim passkey support.

HotSchedules login questions
What is the official HotSchedules login?
Use https://app.hotschedules.com/hs/login.jsp. The same live page also exposes LOG IN WITH FOURTH ACCOUNT for users whose employer moved them to the newer identity.
Why do I see more than one employer account?
Each employer can create a distinct HotSchedules username/account. Select the current workplace after sign-in and ask that manager if two account names are difficult to distinguish.
How does a new employee get HotSchedules credentials?
The employer supplies a Welcome Email or Welcome Sheet. The email uses Create Your Profile; a sheet can provide temporary credentials for setup.hotschedules.com.
Can both the username and password be recovered online?
Self-service depends on confirmed email or mobile data. When both values are unknown or the account lacks usable contact information, Fourth directs the employee back to the manager.
Does classic HotSchedules use Fourth Engage MFA?
That is not confirmed. The documented TOTP enrollment applies to Fourth Engage/Fourth Account and explicitly cannot be configured on the old login screen.
