Choose the correct account door
BambooHR's public login at app.bamboohr.com/login/ is a company-domain locator. It asks which BambooHR address belongs to your workplace before sending you to the employee sign-in. The companydomain value is the part before .bamboohr.com. It identifies an organization, not an individual employee. Find it in a trusted workplace invitation, a previously used bookmark, or by asking the colleague responsible for BambooHR access.
An employee account, an employer's BambooHR administration area, and a job-application page can all carry BambooHR branding. They do not confer the same access. An applicant should follow the hiring employer's application instructions, while an employee should enter the company environment already assigned to them. If your company uses Google or another identity provider, the organization's configured login decides which account you use after the domain has been identified.
People search for “BambooHR login with Google”, “BambooHR login with email”, “BambooHR employee login”, “Bamboo HR employees”, “BambooHR login with email and password”, “BambooHR employee login password”, “BambooHR Login for employees sign up”, “BambooHR app”. Those phrases are search clues, not domains.

02 · safe sign-in sequence
A six-step sign-in sequence
- 01
Open app.bamboohr.com/login/ and identify the company-domain field. Start with the official locator if you do not have a trusted direct workplace bookmark.
- 02
Enter the employer's subdomain before .bamboohr.com. Do not enter a complete email address or invent a company spelling simply to make the locator continue.
- 03
Use What's my domain? when the organization address is unknown. Check prior workplace access information or ask a colleague through a contact route you already trust.
- 04
Choose Continue to open the company-specific login. Confirm the employer context before supplying the email, password, or SSO identity requested by that configuration.
- 05
Complete the employer's configured 2-Step Login if prompted. Use your enrolled authenticator or other available method rather than sharing a code with someone offering to sign in for you.
- 06
Check your employee profile and available workplace resources. If permissions are missing, contact the employer's BambooHR administrator; a different domain or duplicate account will not grant them.
03 · documented security path
Security methods and their scope
Documented methods in the reviewed scope: Authenticator app, Text message. Availability can still depend on the product, tenant, account type, or organization policy described below.
BambooHR's product documentation describes 2-Step Login using an authenticator application and, in the applicable setup, SMS. Its published administration route includes Account Settings, 2-Step Login, and Get Started. These instructions have an administrator scope; they should not be promised as a menu every employee can edit. Another update documents access-level permissions for MFA reset, which supports directing locked-out employees to the authorized workplace administrator.
04 · what to look for
Controls on the official route
- 01companydomain
- 02Continue
- 03What's my domain?
The companydomain field routes the organization, Continue opens its login, and What's my domain? explains how to locate that address. A missing domain and a rejected employee password are different failures. Resolve the company context before attempting recovery for an individual account.
05 · service-specific lures
Two patterns to recognize
BambooHR's privacy guidance says its representatives do not ask for account credentials and advises caution around unidentified calls or messages.
BambooHR publishes a recruitment-scam warning for jobs with BambooHR itself.
BambooHR's privacy guidance says its representatives do not ask for account credentials and advises caution around unidentified calls or messages. An apparent support contact seeking your employee password should be verified through your employer's existing support route. A professional-looking message does not establish who controls its destination.
BambooHR publishes a recruitment-scam warning for jobs with BambooHR itself. Fraudulent recruiters may seek money or personal information. That warning should not be mistaken for a finding about every employer using BambooHR, but it provides a useful boundary: hiring outreach is not an authorized way to recover an existing employee account.
06 · locked-account plan
Recover the identity that owns access
Start inside the correct company environment and use the recovery or SSO help offered there. If you cannot reach the registered email, no longer have the enrolled verification device, or cannot find your employer's domain, contact the employer's BambooHR administrator. The documented MFA-reset permissions mean the right administrator may need to act; a coworker without that role may be unable to help. A job applicant should contact the hiring employer through its application process instead of seeking employee-account access.
07 · passkey status
Passkey status: not confirmed
This guide does not claim current passkey support for BambooHR. A security key, device approval, or biometric prompt is not automatically a passkey, and an old product announcement is not enough to establish current availability.
The reviewed BambooHR updates establish 2-Step Login and account-notification features, but not a current native passkey settings path. A Google passkey used during company SSO belongs to the identity-provider account and should be described in that scope.

Account-access questions
What is my BambooHR domain?
It is the company-specific part of the workplace's .bamboohr.com address. The public locator's What's my domain? help suggests prior access information or asking a colleague; it is not normally your full email address.
Can I sign in with Google?
Use the options configured on your employer's actual login page. A Google sign-in route, when supplied by the organization, still requires the correct workplace account and does not grant access to another company's BambooHR environment.
Why do I reach an applicant page?
An application portal serves candidates, while an employee account belongs to a workplace environment. Return to the employer-provided employee link if you are trying to access an existing staff profile.
Who resets a lost second factor?
BambooHR documents administrator permissions for MFA reset. Contact your employer's authorized administrator, who can determine which recovery action is available for your account.
Will another BambooHR account restore my employee access?
Creating a different account does not establish the employer's permissions or recover the existing employee record. Resolve the correct company domain and identity with the workplace administrator first.
