Use the Infinite Campus district locator first
Infinite Campus does not operate one shared parent/student credential form. Its verified login page asks for State and District Name, then provides the district's Campus Parent and Campus Student links. The company explicitly says it does not have individual usernames or passwords. That makes the locator a safe routing door and the district the account owner.
Hosted routes commonly contain an infinitecampus.org tenant followed by /campus/portal/parents/ or /campus/portal/students/ and a district-specific page. Cloud-pool hostnames also occur, so do not construct one from the district name. Campus Parent, Campus Student, the corresponding mobile apps, the staff SIS and Campus Community are different doors. Staff security documentation must not be applied to a family account.

Reach Campus Parent or Campus Student in six steps
The exact tenant and SSO labels vary by district. Use the locator rather than guessing the hosted address.

Open https://www.infinitecampus.com/login and select the correct State. Begin typing at least part of the District Name, then choose the matching district from the returned list.

Follow the locator's parent/student destination and choose Campus Parent or Campus Student for the correct role. Confirm that the page displays the expected district before entering an account identifier.

Enter the username and password supplied or established through the district. If the tenant shows a named Single Sign-On button, use it only when the district instructed you to use that provider.

For a first-time parent account, choose New User?, enter the district-issued Activation Key, and create the requested username and password. The key is for initial activation, not routine sign-in.

In Campus Parent or Campus Student mobile, search by District Name and State, select the district, and use the same district account or SSO method. Do not choose a similarly named district in another state.

After access, confirm the student and district context. Bookmark the verified tenant, sign out on shared devices, and return to the locator whenever an old bookmark redirects unexpectedly or the district changes its SSO route.

The built-in MFA setting excludes family portals
Current methods: unknown. No official step-by-step source strong enough for a method claim was verified through 2026-09-06. That is an evidence boundary, not a claim that Infinite Campus lacks two-factor authentication.
Infinite Campus documents email-code and authenticator-app TOTP MFA for staff under Tool Search > Login Security Settings. The same official article explicitly says this feature does not apply to Student or Parent Portal accounts. Therefore the guide should not tell a family to look for that menu or claim native MFA protection.
A district can place Campus Parent or Campus Student behind an external SSO provider, and that provider may require a second factor. Such enrollment belongs to the district identity system. Infinite Campus also documents CAPTCHA and suspicious-login controls that can affect portal attempts, but these are not user-configurable second factors.

New User? opens the Activation Key path for an initial parent account. Forgot Password? and Forgot Username? appear only when the district has enabled the corresponding self-service options. Log in to Campus Student switches from a parent page to the student role on supported tenants. Districts can add Single Sign-On and can hide tools, so screen differences do not necessarily mean the page is counterfeit.

Distrust corporate resets and misleading senders
A message presented as an Infinite Campus corporate password reset or account activation asks for a parent/student password or sends the user to a credential form.
A lookalike district notification uses 'Infinite Campus' in the sender identity to imply the message came from the company and links to a fake tenant sign-in.
One lure claims to be an Infinite Campus corporate password reset or activation notice and asks for a parent/student password. That ownership story is wrong: Infinite Campus says it does not hold individual credentials, and the district administers them. Use the official locator and contact the school through a known channel.
Another lure gives a district-style notification an 'Infinite Campus' sender identity and links to a copied tenant form. Infinite Campus's own Messenger guidance tells districts not to put 'infinitecampus' in the Default Sender Email because it creates the false impression that the company sent the message. Verify the sender and reopen the district tenant independently. These are evidence-backed red flags, not a claim that one named campaign was observed.

Let the district recover the portal identity
Start at the correct tenant through the locator. Use Forgot Username? or Forgot Password? when the district exposes it and complete the configured recovery flow. If the controls are absent, the recovery address is wrong, repeated attempts trigger a challenge, or the account remains locked, contact the school/district; corporate Infinite Campus support cannot reveal the credential.
For a first login, request or verify the Activation Key rather than using password recovery. A key that has already been consumed, is associated with the wrong guardian record or is mistyped requires district correction. Avoid creating an account for a different district while trying to solve the error.

Parent and student passkeys are unconfirmed
This guide does not claim current passkey support for Infinite Campus. A security key, device approval, or biometric prompt is not automatically a passkey, and an old product announcement is not enough to establish current availability.
No reviewed first-party document confirmed a passkey control for Campus Parent or Campus Student. Keep the status unknown. If the tenant redirects to Microsoft, Google or another district provider that supports passkeys, configure the passkey in that provider's verified account settings and describe it as district SSO security.

Infinite Campus login questions
Is there one Infinite Campus family login?
No. The company provides a State and District Name locator, and each district supplies its own Campus Parent and Campus Student links.
Who knows my username and password?
The school or district manages individual credentials. Infinite Campus says its corporate team does not have that information.
What does an Activation Key do?
It opens the New User? flow so a parent can create an initial username and password. After activation, use the resulting account rather than the key for routine access.
Why are the recovery links missing?
Forgot Username? and Forgot Password? are district-configurable. When they are not enabled or do not work, contact the district help contact.
Does Infinite Campus MFA cover parent and student accounts?
