Start from AT&T before the Yahoo mail handoff
Use AT&T's official email landing page as the dependable starting point, then select Sign in or Mail. The current flow can hand the browser to a Yahoo-hosted SAML page for the mailbox. That Yahoo hop is expected when it was generated by AT&T, but its transaction parameters are temporary, so it should not be copied from the address bar and published as a permanent login link.
The full mailbox address is the most useful identifier. AT&T's current support material covers att.net, currently.com and legacy families including ameritech.net, bellsouth.net, pacbell.net, prodigy.net, sbcglobal.net, swbell.net and others. Those addresses use the same current AT&T Mail route; an older suffix is not a reason to search for a separate regional portal.
AT&T controls the account identity and password recovery even though Yahoo supplies the hosted mail hop. A myAT&T identity may be shared across Mail and other services, or a customer may have several AT&T IDs. Confirm which ID is actually attached to the mailbox before changing a password.
People also describe this destination as “att email login”, “att.net email login”, “currently.com email login”, and “currently att yahoo mail login”. Those phrases are search clues, not domains.

Reach AT&T Mail without trusting a copied SAML link
Use this six-step sequence for current and legacy AT&T Mail addresses. The screen can change when AT&T requests additional identity verification.

Open https://more.att.com/email/ directly or reach it through a known AT&T support page. Avoid a sponsored result or message link that advertises a special portal for sbcglobal.net, bellsouth.net or another legacy suffix.

Choose the AT&T page's Sign in or Mail control. Allow the fresh AT&T-generated redirect to Yahoo's login host, but do not reuse a Yahoo SAML address saved from an earlier session because its request data is transactional.

Enter the complete AT&T Mail address, including its domain, or the AT&T ID known to control that mailbox. If several IDs exist, use AT&T's recovery tools to identify the correct one instead of repeatedly trying unrelated household logins.

Enter the password and complete any one-time authentication security code sent to an eligible phone or email option. A verification prompt on an unfamiliar sign-in is documented; a user-configurable persistent 2FA menu is not.

Confirm that the mailbox and account details are the expected ones. For a desktop or mobile mail client, prefer OAuth; if the client lacks OAuth, use AT&T's documented secure mail key rather than exposing the normal account password.

Sign out on a shared device and keep the AT&T landing page as the bookmark. Treat a later email asking you to 'upgrade webmail,' release held messages, or disclose a code as a separate request requiring independent verification.

Security-code checks are confirmed; a 2FA setting is not
Documented methods in the reviewed scope: One-time authentication security code delivered to an eligible phone or email option. Availability can still depend on the product, tenant, account type, or organization policy described below.
AT&T documents one-time authentication codes during new or unrecognized sign-ins and account setup. The code is delivered through an eligible phone or email option. That establishes a verification layer for the login flow.
The reviewed AT&T Mail and AT&T ID pages do not publish a persistent two-factor enrollment switch, authenticator-app setup, or exact settings path. Do not convert an automatic security challenge into a claim that customers can enable or disable AT&T Mail 2FA from a menu. The correct status remains confirmed login verification with configurable 2FA unknown.

Sign in and Mail begin the webmail handoff. Forgot username? helps locate an AT&T ID, while Reset your password begins the AT&T-controlled recovery route. Add secure mail key and Create secure mail key belong to mail-client setup, not ordinary webmail authentication. Confirm the AT&T host before trusting any familiar button label.

Watch for fake upgrades and callers asking for codes
A fake 'webmail upgrade' message says inbox messages are pending or on hold and sends the user to a non-AT&T link to restore delivery.
Someone impersonating AT&T support or fraud staff claims the account will be restricted, or promises an account reward, and asks for the PIN or verification code.
AT&T specifically identifies fake webmail-upgrade messages that claim inbox mail is pending, held or unavailable until the user follows a link. Do not use the embedded link. Reopen AT&T Mail from the known landing page and check the mailbox there.
A second documented pattern is someone impersonating AT&T support or fraud staff. The story may threaten an account restriction or promise a reward, then request the account PIN or verification code. AT&T says not to provide those secrets. End the contact and use an official support route you opened independently.

Recover through AT&T Identity
Open AT&T's Reset your password route, enter the AT&T ID and last name, choose an available verification option, and set a new password. AT&T remains the identity controller even when the normal webmail journey includes Yahoo.
If the ID itself is forgotten, AT&T documents recovery using a contact email or mobile number and billing ZIP code. When no recovery option works, its support material directs customers to 800-288-2020. Remember that changing a shared AT&T ID password can affect Mail and other linked services.

Passkeys are not confirmed for AT&T Mail
This guide does not claim current passkey support for AT&T Mail. A security key, device approval, or biometric prompt is not automatically a passkey, and an old product announcement is not enough to establish current availability.
No reviewed first-party AT&T Mail or AT&T ID page confirms passkey enrollment, a passkey sign-in control, or a settings path. Keep the status unknown. A device or password manager offering to save credentials does not establish service-level passkey support, and the Yahoo-hosted mail hop should not be used to infer it.

AT&T Mail login questions
What is the official AT&T Mail login?
Start at AT&T's email page and choose Sign in or Mail. A Yahoo-hosted SAML page may follow, but use the newly generated redirect rather than bookmarking its transaction-specific URL.
Can an sbcglobal.net or bellsouth.net address still sign in?
Yes. AT&T lists both among its current legacy address families. Enter the complete address through the same official AT&T Mail route instead of seeking a suffix-specific login site.
Is the Mail password also my myAT&T password?
It can be when Mail and other services share one AT&T ID. Customers may also have multiple IDs, so verify the mailbox's controlling identity before changing anything.
Why does a mail app reject the normal password?
AT&T recommends OAuth-compatible apps. A client without OAuth may require the documented 16-character secure mail key created in AT&T account settings instead of the normal password.
Does AT&T Mail support passkeys?
Unknown. The first-party pages reviewed on September 6, 2026 did not document passkey setup or sign-in for AT&T Mail or the associated AT&T ID.
